$50.00 – $2,000.00

Please help us reach our goal of $10,000. This amount will help us contribute to the construction costs (over and above donated materials and time). If we finish the project under budget, we also plan to commemorate the event by restoring the original canvas plan from c. 1891 and/or a special plaque. All donors will be formally recognized at an open house ceremony, as well as pre– and post-event promotion and publicity associated with the project and its formal dedication.
The City of Bellefontaine and the Task Force on Preservation of Artifacts from Historical Concrete Pavements have developed a plan to place an 11-foot section to replicate the original test strip placed ahead of the pavement constructed in America.
Our fundraising efforts are aimed at offsetting costs for the project and commemorating the new section. The City of Bellefontaine is generously supporting the re-creation effort by removing the asphalt pavement and providing MOT and Safety devices.
To make the vision a reality, we need your help. Please consider a sponsorship gift that will bring this project to life. Your generous support of this project will not only serve as a timeless reminder of that original test section, but also as a vital link to all concrete pavements—past, present, and future!
