2025 ACI AGGREGATE TESTING TECHNICIAN LEVEL 1

ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1 (2 days) 4 CPD hrs.
Day 1 Review:  11:30 am – 4:30 pm | Day 2 Exam: 8:00 am written exam followed by performance exam

This course is of interest to those involved in testing concrete in the laboratory and pursuing certification as ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1.  Ohio Concrete will conduct a one day review class on laboratory procedures for concrete aggregates, as a supplement to the recommended self-study,  to prepare for the examinations required for certification.  The written and performance examinations will be given on the second day of the course.

The program requires working knowledge of the following ASTM standards:
D75 – Sampling Aggregates;
C702 – Reducing Samples of Aggregate to Testing Size;
C117 – Materials Finer Than 75-µm (No. 200) Sieve in Mineral Aggregates by Washing;
C136 – Sieve Analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates;
C127 – Specific Gravity and Absorption of Coarse Aggregate;
C128 – Specific Gravity and Absorption of Fine Aggregate;
C566 – Total Moisture Content of Aggregate by Drying;
C40 – Organic Impurities in Fine Aggregate for  Concrete.

Certification Requirements:  ACI will grant certification to those applicants who meet both of the following requirements:  1)  A passing grade on the ACI written; and 2)  Successful completion of the ACI performance examination.  Recertification is necessary every five (5)  years; and requires successful completion of both the written and performance

CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations subject to a $15 processing fee. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the start of the class to receive a refund. “NO SHOWS” will be charged full registration fees. No credits will be carried over to the next year. A late fee of $15 will be assessed to those registering within 7 days of the examination. Classes are subject to cancellation based on the number of registrants. Registrants will be notified at least one week prior to the start of the course of any cancellations or changes. Course fees are subject to change
