 Position Title: Technical Services Manager
Location: Fairborn, Ohio (combined office and field
related position)
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Position Summary Description: (Primary responsibilities)
Provide proactive consultation to cement customers in
the areas of product performance,
mix optimizations,
best practices, technical information research,
troubleshooting, and
technical training Perform as liaison between sales and production on
plant quality teams Proactively participate in promotion efforts relating
to cement based and related products Proactive involvement in technical organizations such
as the American Concrete Institute
(ACI) and American
Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) as well as
various ready-mix concrete organizations with emphasis
at the local or regional level.
Technical Skills: (The individual must have knowledge in
:) Technical knowledge of building materials Technical aspects of customer’s products, systems and
applications Cement products application technology Industry standards and codes Principles and technologies of promotion presentation
and marketing Interpersonal skills including conflict resolution Project management Strong oral and written communication skills Computer skills: Word, Power Point, Excel
Related Industry/Job Experience: (Number of years
experience in industry/job) Minimum of 3 years experience as Quality Assurance /
Quality Control Manager, Technical Services Engineer or
Certified Concrete Technologist in the building
materials industries
(cement, concrete, admixtures,
concrete or masonry construction)
Educational Requirements: Minimum of Associate degree in Concrete Technology,
Civil Engineering, Structural
Engineering or Materials
Engineering
OR a minimum of 10 years in concrete and concrete
products quality control
