Ohio Concrete's regional groups are planning a variety
of seminars this December. Take advantage of the slow,
winter season to attend one of these informational
seminars at a location near you.
On December 8, 2009 the Northwest
Ohio Concrete group will host a Concrete Parking Lot
seminar.
The seminar will be held at the
Hilton Garden Inn Toledo/Perrysburg located at 6165
Levis Commons Blvd., Perrysburg, OH 43551 from 8:00 am -
4:00 pm.
Seminar topics will include: A review
of ACI 330; Real Design Examples using the Concrete
Pavement Analyst (CPA) software; Concrete Parking Lots
LEED; Quality Control/Specifications; Admixtures and
Fibers;, Pervious Pavements; Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC)
and more.
The cost to attend is $50 and
includes lunch, valuable seminar handouts and 5
professional development hours (PDH).

On December 10, 2009 don't miss the
opportunity to get your employees and customers
certified at a fraction of the cost at the Northeast
Ohio Concrete Flatwork Training and Certification. The
training program will take place at the Blue Heron
Banquet & Conference Center in Medina, OH.
Learn from professionals in the field
about the proper techniques and practices for placing
and finishing concrete flatwork. Topics will include:
Concrete Fundamentals; Base preparation and forming;
How/what mix to order; Placing and finishing interior
and exterior concrete; Jointing; Curing; Sealing;
Defects and repair.
The program will begin at 7:00 am
with registration and will be divided into two sessions.
Attendees seeking residential concrete flatwork
certification can register for Session 1. Session 1 will
begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will
be provided at 11:30 a.m. Attendees looking to obtain
ACI Concrete Flatwork Finisher and/or Technician
certification can register for Session 2, which will be
a continuation of Session 1 and will provide a basis for
certifying experienced concrete finishers including
commercial/industrial requirements of concrete finishes.
Exams for both sessions will be given
at the end of each session. The program will conclude at
5:00 p.m.
